ICBalloons was founded by Chad Johnson in 2010 when his good friend, Nate the Great, started teaching him amazing balloon creations.  Moving to Iowa City in 2013, Chad left behind his 10 year career as a martial arts instructor who focused mostly on teaching children to start up a new career as a balloon artist.  Attending at least five international balloon conventions per year, 

Chad has:
- Instructed at international balloon conventions
- Created Interactive Balloon Games as a new industry 
- Performed in China, Israel, Cuba and Europe
- Won many local awards such as "Most Patriotic" for Coralville, Iowa's 4th of July Parade
